I am a native San Franciscan currently residing in the Middle Eastern country of Oman.
What brings me to the middle of the Arabian desert you ask?
I often ask myself this same question. :)
My degrees are both in International Relations with an emphasis on diplomacy with the Arab and Muslim world. I'm here to improve my Arabic. To afford life, I am a teacher.
On that note, I will give a plug for Oman. It is by far the best place I have ever lived in the Middle East . I affectionately call Omanis "the Californians of the Middle East" due to their laid-back nature and easy-going personalities.
The capital of Oman, Muscat, sits on amazing beaches and gorgeous vistas. While there is a definite "old world feel to it", When I miss home, I can easily visit a cafe' on the beach, surf the internet from their wireless connection and swear I could be in Southern Cal rather than wedged between Saudi Arabia and Iran! :)
Life here is very easy for expatriates, if not a little boring. Therefor e ØMN is a welcome addition to my life here.
I first heard about SFØ from Lincøln, who I met through a series of strange connections (and story that involves both burning man and Craigs List).
Those of you who know him, also know that he is by far one of the most interesting individuals on this planet. Thanks to him we now have ØMN and I am a tasking addict. :)

I gave you 5 points because your task inspired me to complete another task after nearly a year's hiatus. :) Well done! And thank YOU for showering. ;)
Dad died a little over 2 years ago and mom closer to 4 years ago. So young.... so unexpected. I was a daddy's girl for sure. I have realized that in many ways he was the anchor in my life. I miss his bear hugs and the way he could make me laugh through the hardest of times. Did I mention those awesome bear hugs? Dad.... I miss you.
That man's got skills! Niiiiiice :)
Tuecer, True dat! I'm glad you enjoyed the picture :)
