Campaign of Misinformation by Wetdryvac

March 12th, 2016 11:45 AM

INSTRUCTIONS: Create false information. Disseminate it in such a way as to be believable as possible.

I'm probably failing on the believable front, but I got frustrated with the election hoopla and created election posters for each of the philosophers in Monty Python's Philosopher song. Then I spread them around everywhere I could think of digitally, more or less dropping a couple days of my life to the task. I'm reasonably sure I've gone insane sitting 14 hours in front of the computer on the creation side and... I dunno how many on the distribution side. Plans include papering a local campus when the prints come in, and anyone who wants source files for printing their own or wants to collaborate and add philosopher posters, yell.

UPDATE: Maybe it would help if the Nietzsche poster were spelled correctly. Gah.

Immanuel Kant

Immanuel Kant

Immanuel Kant, and the horrible pun that started me down this horrible path. A real pissant.

Aristotle

Aristotle

A Bugger for the Bottle

Arthur Schopenhauer

Arthur Schopenhauer

Along with Hagel.

David Hume

David Hume

Could outconsume...

Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel 2016

Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel 2016

Every single source piece I found for Hegel was utterly terrifying.

John Stuart Mill

John Stuart Mill

Yep, that's particularly ill, all right.

Karl Wilhelm Friedrich Schlegel

Karl Wilhelm Friedrich Schlegel

Converting this to vector from the painting was a complete pain in the bum. I hope to never have to do that again.

Martin Heidegger

Martin Heidegger

A boozy beggar.

Plato

Plato

Possibly the best statement I've been able to get an excuse to put on any poster ever.

Rene Descartes

Rene Descartes

A drunken fart. It's at this point my brain spit out, "I begin to doubt your commitment to Sparkle Motion," And I had to take a pause.

Socrates

Socrates

Poster too demanding. Drink more coffee.

The Language of Wittgenstein 2016 800.png

The Language of Wittgenstein 2016 800.png

Reading Wittgenstein always makes my head hurt. As such, I figure this is the one I'm going to physically print a bunch of to paper the local campus.

Thomas Hobbes

Thomas Hobbes

Quite frankly, Hobbe's approach to political authority scares the pink kittens out of me.

Friedrich Nietzsche - now spelled correctly.

Friedrich Nietzsche - now spelled correctly.

Oh gods, Vac, learn to spell.

Physically flier the world, and you'll get more points out of me.

Totally agree with Lincoln.

...it's been a while. I was using Nietzsche as a comment piece for a while.
