Subject: El Ultimo Beso
MTA Shuttle Line 603
Location: 1919 W 7th St in Los Angeles, CA 90057 (approximately)
Latitude: 34.05648164409339 Longitude: -118.27517420053482 (specifically)

The mural you see is titled El Ultimo Beso, and was created by Hector Ponce. In his words, this is "In appreciation to Robin Duritz and a heartfelt sentiment to the entire Latinos of the area."
He gives us little information on this mural besides this. While this may be the most famous, and obvious mural seen at this stop, consider that Los Angeles was once known for it's prolific muralists.
Many of those works are now gone, but some remain. Some newer murals can occasionally be found and there are some treasures within proximity of this stop. If you feel that our city is lacking for want of murals, please feel free to contact the Department of Cultural Affairs, and the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety.

This stop is recognized officially as the WESTLAKE/7TH (NE Corner) stop line 603 by the MTA. The MTA 603 line runs North South from the intersection of Grand & Washington in Los Angeles to the Glendale Galleria mall in Glendale at the intersection of Broadway and Columbus Avenue. It runs 7 days a week.
Defects: Please note that while the wait for the bus at this stop can be long, there is little offered in the way of seating aside from a long concrete rail. Please not that during the sunnier parts of the day, this broad flat surface absorbs a lot of sunlight which can make sitting painful. There is no shade structure.
Attributes: This stop is centrally located not only to other bus and rail stops, but also several inexpensive eateries and shops. MacArthur Park, and the beautiful view of it's lake are two blocks west of this location. Hungry? There is a food truck that serves delicious tacos and very cold soda nearby. It is often found either across the street from this stop, or in the parking lot immediately behind it.
The inspiration for this stop's nickname is taken from the mural and the Kiss and Ride passenger drop-off across the street. A Kiss and Ride is a small parking lot connected to an MTA stop. Time allotted for parking is minimal allowing no more than a quick drop-off.
This bus stop carries a rating of 4 from the MTA Psychogeographical Association+.
If you enjoy this stop, you might also enjoy the MTA number 2 stop at Cesar Chavez Avenue and Hill Street - The Dragon Gate.

It's kind of wonderful to discover these cobweb-covered beauties of the task kind, whose existence I never realized. Thank you for that.
