... you're not paying attention! by JJason Recognition

INSTRUCTIONS: Call attention to a social disgrace using an arrow, or perhaps a circle.

OR

Create new, but not un-reasonable "social norm", and draw attention to it in whatever way you choose.

So I went and gone and made me an arrow. My arrow is constructed out of a fedex envelope that somebody threw away, cut into an arrow shape, and taped together with tape. It has been labelled so everybody knows exactly what they should be feeling when the arrow is point at them.

Having got my arrow, I set out to find some social disgraces to call attention to. I mostly focused on litter, with the occasional graffitti and Peter Harmon to also shame. See the results in the pictures below.

Note: For the purpose of this task I have taken on the persona of an elderly mother who is much more easily shocked and appalled than I normally am.

Duct tape that someone had shamefully left on the ground.

While graffiti is shameful, meta-graffiti is even more shameful. I mean, what kind of person would vandalize vandalism? That there is a social disgrace. For reals.

building.JPG

That building is ugly. Somebody should be deeply ashamed for leaving that around. Clean up after yourself people!

Cigarettes left lieing around.

A discarded balloon that somebody just threw on the ground.

Some sort wrapper. Disgraceful, just disgraceful.

harmon.JPG

Peter Harmon is a social disgrace.

pumpkin.JPG

A bit of pumpkin that somebody left out.

This piece of public art is not very good. That is simply disgraceful.

I don't know what this is but I'm against it. It is a social disgrace.

I'm voting for this for one simple reason: You have the balls to borrow my camera and use it to document calling me a social disgrace. This sort ot thing is a major piece of why you are awesome.

i like that someone tried to lessen the disgrace of the 'start war' metacomment by making it 'start GWAR' (which is really not a disgrace at all)

...but if you took the arrow with you after taking the picture, how will those whose shame you've tried to call attention to ever know?

Big arrows are funny.

Re: Mudlock - but if I left behind an arrow indicating that you should be ashamed of your littering, wouldn't that be littering? Then I'd have to get another arrow and point it at my first arrow. And that's not leading anyplace good.
