Mundane Journey by JJason Recognition

INSTRUCTIONS: Go on a Mundane Journey

Document your findings.

Please note that using the hotline outside of San Francisco is not only acceptable, but, indeed, encouraged by the BART Psychogeographical Association.

I called the Mundane Journey hotline and was told to go to a specific intersection. But it didn't sound like any streets that I know. Maybe the dispatcher misspoke...

The first street sounded like Gerry... They probably meant Thirty. And the second street was something like Divisinaro... That sounds like a mispronounced version of Division. Yes, that sound plausible.

Once, I figured out what the dispatcher really meant, I walked to my destination. Upon arrival, my destination looked different from what I had expected. None of the landmarks mentioned by the dispatcher were there. Oh well. I went about exploring each corner in turn.

NE
The North East Corner holds a fancy cafe and a bus stop. I've walked by the cafe many times before but I've never gone in, as it looks expensive. I mean, they've got an extra f in their name and those don't come cheap. The bus stop would allow me to the number 4 bus, which would take me to downtown Portland. I sat for a while on the bench in front of the bus stop.

SE
The SE Corner held a house which is a pleasing shade of blue. Still no sign of either the honey baked ham place or the jewish funeral parlor. Curious. There was a electrical pole here, covered in stapled posters for musical acts.

SW
The SW corner has another residential home, green this time with a billboard on it's lawn. I wonder if the residents are getting paid to have a billboard on their lawn. I hope so, as it's not very attractive. A little ways down there is a restaurant. That's sort of like a honey baked ham store, so that's probably what they were referring too. There's another bus stop here, also for the #4 bus heading in the opposite direction.

NW
The Northwest corner holds an empty building, which used to be the local headquarters for the Obama campaign. There is a plaza in front of it and a few trees and bushes. It's kind of like a jewish funeral home... kinda... Ok, not really. Nothing around here resembled a jewish funeral home, not even a little. The Dispatcher must've been confused or something.

Reactions over all: Not a terribly interesting corner. Colorful though, so that's nice. Both residential and commercial buildings, two sources of food. Can't be a terribly in demand corner, since the office building's gone unrented. That's what I found.

*Chuckles about Geary and Divisidero* I know exactly where they were trying to put you. (And it was in San Francisco btw, probably a good reason why you didn't know)

But truely an awesome adaption.
