i've been noticing this for awhile but just now noticed that they went back through my entire text history and eradicated comments that had been +9. That's a lot of tedium. I'm not sure if I'm flattered, creeped out, or full of pity...

Me too. I checked around, and it looks like it happened to anyone with a high score this era. Zerogee, Rin Brooker, Rongo Rongo (Babe still has a few, but very few)... but this doesn't seem to affect players not as active this era. I checked Tac Haberdash for instance, and he has more comment votes than we do.
It may be a server-side problem, and Sean Mahan needs to look into some sort of database glitch, or this is related to the sockpuppets who have been voting for all the players on the leaderboards except for Loki (hint hint).
That's a weird one. I cleared out a bunch of shady votes a while ago, and didn't think that the same person might be modding down comments. Anyone have a particular comment that they know got the mystery disapproval treatment? Cuz that'd make fixing it a lot easier...
I'm leaving on a super-cheap mini-cation to beautiful Port Costa tomorrow morning, so this may not be fixed real snappy-like. Divert any "thank you" urges to wishing lara black a belated happy birthday; any "why is proof-submitting still buggy" urges can stay directed at me :)
Where was that awesome stepped comment vote series? I don't remember the task or page it was on, but you guys remember right? The first comment had +9, and then a +8 and so on until the last had a -9? Remember it? Where was that? That was cool, and it'd be a shame if that was gone too.

and now it isn't? this is definitely some of the pettiest hacking I've seen.
I was getting consistent negative votes last era... to the point that it was a large part of why I actually stopped commenting for a long time and took a bit of a hiatus from SF0. I can't say much about this era, as I've not commented much, but now I'm becoming active again I expect to see it return.
Maybe someone doesn't like comment votes.
I had a look and the comment votes I still have are on proofs that can't be found, so they can't be reached to negative-down-vote them. Just the one from the postcard-event has still 1+ but that one had a lot more before.
