******** UPDATE *********
On the grounds that this is shaping up to be an incredibly busy weekend for me and pretty much everyone else I know, and a rainy weekend for everybody, I'm going to tentatively cancel this event.
If that pisses you off, say something, and we'll see if we can reschedule some time soon. (I still think it could be a cute idea.)
******** UPDATE THE SECOND*********
Let's try it on a weekday evening. Tentatively scheduled for Wed at 530, downtown. Location and time are negotiable.

Damn this movie. I wish I could be there.
Damn this being on the other side of the world... I'd be there in a second. I wonder if they'd like a nice get well card from New Zealand.
This reminds me of the local TV show that raised Money to buy the business round table a new table (the old one was getting old). Their call to the business round table receptionist to see where to send the cheque was priceless.
If average Americans can't end this crisis, then how will average Americans end this crisis?
i'd really like to go to this...but i can't due to parental commitments. (i could go saturday though...)
also, for which bank will these goodies be baked? people have a right to know. (can i suggest citigroup? they seem fun.)
In fact, my Sunday schedule has become somewhat more complicated than I expected.
A reschedule to Saturday would be great for me as well. (Thoughts, complaints, etc, Sean or any of the would-have-comers?)
I'm open to the bank of your choice. Citigroup works for me. Brand away!
i may have spoken too soon about saturday--i just checked the weather and it looks like rain.
*update*
I suggest we give this one a miss. It sounded like fun, but scheduling will be a big headache for me, and there are multiple simultaneous happenings all over town that will keep almost all of the local players from joining in on Sunday.
RESCHEDULE! Perhaps by suspending something.
I'm excited by all this talk of suspension.
p.s. if we want to try making this a task, i've been holding on to this one for awhile....
it may be the right time to use it. i'm all for delaying this 'till some other time. why not during the week near some actual banks, like by montgomery bart or something? that would work better for me, anyway.
To pick an arbitrary starting time for discussion, how's Wednesday, 5:30pm, downtown?
Earlier, later, or a different day would also work for me. Getting to mess about on a school-day is one of the benefits of suspension, no?
okay, so ian and i are planning on making a bunch of chocolate chip / other cookies with dollar signs on them in chips / sprinkles.
do we have a folding table of any kind? should ian and i make a poster? also, where exactly will it happen? where downtown, loki? as far as money goes, if no one else wants to, i can bring like $40 in singles and fives so we can have change.
Sweet.
I'll promise a table of some kind. Either the very heavy folding table that I'd just as soon not bring home again, or a lightweight not-an-actual-table object that will work as a table.
A poster would be great. I should be able to bring some change and signs too, as well as baked goods.
As far as location, what say we try Market just north of Bush street, moving north in case of trouble? Plenty of space, and I suspect (but am by no means certain) security is a little more relaxed than along the Montgomery to Powell stretch.
Mortgage finance company Fannie Mae said it is forgiving the mortgage debt of a 90-year-old woman who shot herself in the chest as sheriff's deputies attempted to evict her.
Fannie Mae announced later Friday that it would dismiss its foreclosure action, forgive Polk's mortgage and allow her to return to the Akron home where she's lived since 1970.
"Just given the circumstances, we think it's appropriate," Fannie Mae spokesman Brian Faith said "It certainly made our radar screen."
Polk remained in Akron General Medical Center and was expected to recover from chest wounds suffered last week.

okay loki, market just north of bush sounds great. see you there. that table sounds lovely.
so, 5:30 on Wednesday October 8 (today) or October 15?
Sorry - Oct 8. (It is in the big letters at the top, but I forgot to mention it here.)
Ahoy, friends and feed readers. Here be a San Francisco Event, next Sunday.
For those of you expecting a different event, just sit tight. That one's coming. Massive stencil failure followed by massive daylight failure kept me from getting the picture I want for the announcement. It will be up soon, I promise.
