Description:

FunLandiaflier.jpgCome to FunLand!
Scavenged materials made mini-golf holes and pedal powered carnival rides make up FunLand in all it's glory. Its a new project that I am a part of and would love to invite the amazing group of people that contribute to SFzero. This will be the first of many events thrown at FunLand to help sustain it for the enjoyment of people old and young, large and small. It unfortunately isn't completed but this party will bring more funding to it so that more golf holes can be made.

This Friday!! July 3rd from 7pm to Midnight-ish
on Bayshore and Oakdale in San Francisco, CA.

But everyone should come see my band The Parents play at the Make-Out Room first! We'll be done by 9:30!

THE bart? non-native dead giveaway!
doesn't in any way diminish my enjoyment of the song, however!

In my defense, after a few months here I'd picked up "BART" (sans-"The"). I used it that way around a born-and-raised bay area native coworker, and she said, "oooo, you 'took BART'!" I asked what she called it, and she said, "I dunno, the BART?" These wild, shifting west coast speech patterns ("hella" vs "hell of", "101" vs "the 101"...) are just too much for a native Jerseyan to process :(

today i caught myself saying 'take *the 24* to *880*' after hanging out with some friends from NY - linguistic idiosyncrasies ... they crossover both ways XD

Funland looks amazing Bjorn, I'm excited to play a round of minigolf! I hope that fractalfreeway and corndogsinspace refer to extremely challenging holes with pars of like, 8.

the Fractal Freeway is the route i take on my annual mushroom trip, and Corn Dogs In Space can be fully explained by Ms. Myrna Minx. But if you want to dub the holes those names, by all means! Oh, and I would have to say that, yes, the holes are extremely challenging with pars of never....unless you can will golf balls to defy physics. Well that's only true of some of the holes, some are slightly less challenging....
