The Rules
There are not many rules and the few there are will be made during and after the race. You are allowed boats if you have made or modified them yourself. Pedals: Yes, Sails: Yes, Motors: No, Running along the bank: No!
Competitors Ready!
It's not hard to make a raft. You can use just about anything that floats along with some oars. Last year some crazy fools stayed dry on 80 balloons. The race is roughly 400 metres long over smooth terrain. The canal is fairly shallow.
You can use Limehouse Town Hall to make and store your raft before the race and then transport it along the canal from there on Sunday lunchtime.
