Description:
Our agents have intercepted information revealing that villains and other antagonists from the temporal node commonly referenced as "the 80s" will be congregating in San Francisco on the night of February 3rd, 2007 for as of yet unknown purposes. It is requested that Players able to take action summon the heroes and protagonists from this same temporal node into themselves using the usual rituals and practices (costuming, impressions, wigs) and infiltrate this gathering. As it is believed that the intent of those gathering is benign, and also given that your Heroic personae and their Villainous avatars will be out of sync with our current temporal node, it is not advised that you attack directly or literally. Such confrontation will have no appreciable effect on the past, and may cause Player agents to be apprehended and detained. Instead, you may be able to talk out your differences or hold mock- or symbolic battles of various kinds (pantomime fighting, karaoke duels, billiards).
Our reconnaissance team in the field, comprised of Player agents Glenda Jayne and Jason 7au, are gathering more information. RSVP, and they will be in contact with you to provide more direction. If Player agents undertaking this mission wish to do so for Score, it is suggested that at least one agent be from the University of Aesthematics.
It is crucial that secrecy be maintained. Let no villain discover your plans!
Translation:
Glenda and I are having our birthday shindig on the 3rd in the Inner Richmond, with our party's theme being 80s Villains. Everyone will be coming as an antagonist from film, cartoons, political scandals, tv, comics, books, etc. (And I told people who didn't come in costume that they were being cast as the popular girls from Heathers.) You SF0 folks are invited and if you want to just attend, that's cool, we'll send you the info. However, we thought it'd be excellent to have people crash en masse as heroes/protagonists from that same time period, spouting off something about being there to foil plans or some such thing, and it sounded like an SF0 kind of thing to do, so we thought we'd put it out there as an opportunity to do Crashing the Party and possibly other tasks as well. (Player Duel springs to mind, as Glenda and I will be in villainous mode.) This is not an attempt to get free actors at our theme party, that'd be lame. We just honestly thought doing something like this would appeal to the SF0 player base, and we're not telling our villainous guests what might happen. It's a possible reverse-surprise party waiting to happen.
