Description:
I get to pass through the Bay Area again, oh lucky me, and for more than 48 hours this time.
Would you be a dear, and comment with your favourite place, which I should visit? I'm sure I'll quickly end up with a list of 10, and with any luck, I'll be able to spend a day or two (likely Saturday or Sunday, but I've no plans Friday yet either) mapping with my feet. And with even more luck, I'll have a few of your lovely selves for company in doing so?
Not a resident, or not gonna be around? Feel free to contribute immaterial places to the list too. All of SFØ, you are my Ariadne.

the Children's Discovery Museum and the Rosicrucian Museum in San Jose, the moon rocks and Henry Cowell park in Santa Cruz, the Chapel of the Chimes and Tara's Ice Cream in Oakland. Especially the Chapel of the Chimes. Don't miss that one.
despite the fact that you are going to be here more than 48 hours, i still think you should try & break your burrito record from january. and you know my vote for the place to eat (at least) one.
oh, and did i take you here last time? don't think i got the chance... but only if you can make it there on an evening that is Tue-Sat.
if you find it difficult to get there i would suggest here ... and be sure to get this.
Ok, so basically, artmouse, you're saying I should go to 'Drunkeness' and 'Caffeine Seizure'?
I think I can handle that. (you didn't take me to the alley, but it's a good'un. Would sing again.)
Kate, thanks for the tips. No wheels underneath me, so I don't think I'll make it to Santa Cruz this time, but with a bit of luck I might be able to catch the Rosicrucians on the way to a gig Sunday night.
The Chapel looks amazing; totally on the list.
A friend's band is playing down in San Jose. (hence a possible stop in with the Rosicrucians)
what's your friend's band called?
Corpus Callosum, know to many here I guess.
Texas Toast House.
So you want me to climb onto the roof of the DeYoung? I guess I can give that a go. Never even been inside there before, so it'll be nice to make the trip.
Oh, and a Non-Players pointed me at this:

I reiterate: company welcome.

Great place to go but you do need to book. Getting in is tricky but well worth it.
Welcome back, Secret Agent.
I doubt I'll get a chance to see you this time. (This week is an unusually busy week.)
But, if you're looking for Ariadne suggestions, here's my most recent discovery. Though it's far from hidden, I had passed it by many times without realizing it was there.
Sadly I was still in Black Rock during this.
(I don't actually fly out again until Tuesday afternoon, it's just that I'm sort of booked on Monday)
