Description:

I've been a fan of The Go Game for a long, long time, but their community games are so infrequent I've only had an opportunity to play once. I'd live to play this with a team of folks from SF0, or even a couple of teams if enough folks are, um, "game."

[I had a request to explain what The Go Game is, so I'm adding a link to their main site which has a good explanation... in short, it is an urban scavenger/treasure hunt involving cell phones and digital cameras/camcorders.]

Anyway, they have teamed up with SF Weekly and the Mezzanine club to do a city wide version of the game (most of the games are limited to a single neighborhood... for instance the one that I played was just in Hayes Valley). I haven't played a city wide game since the old Great San Francisco Treasure Hunts put together by Jayson Wechter (of the Chinese New Years Treasure Hunt) and Jon Carroll (the Chronicle's best Columnist). Citywide brings it up to a whole new level.

I haven't signed up yet, but if folks RSVP Below that they are interested, I'll jump on it.

Below is the brief info that is on the Go Game page:

The Everywhere Game!

The Go Game and SF Weekly are staging the largest Go Game to date and it will be played on your own phones! Click the sign up link below to reserve your spot.

The Game will take place all over San Francisco and will ultimately lead back to a to The Mezzanine Club for an exclusive concert with The Coup.

Prizes for the winning teams include:

* Plasma TV for every member of the winning team
* Exclusitve Meet and Greet with Alex Smith

$10 registration fee will go to charity.

You will need to provide one phone and camera per team, and the team size is limited to 4 players per team!

I have no idea who Alex Smith is, nor do I really care about the plasma TV. I just want to play, and have some nice folks to play with.

Oh, and I have no affiliation or association with The Go Game, SF Weekly, or the Mezzanine in any way, shape, or form. Like I said, I just want to play.
