Description:

You are all invited to official Tea Time at The Vixen's!

There will be mismatched tea-cups (or bring your own mug), scones with clotted cream and jam, woodland animals, possibly a new chicken named Delilah and McVities biscuits for all!
Coming from a family of neurotic tea drinkers (on both my British and Indian sides), I have taken it upon myself to introduce as many people as possible to the healing properties of a proper cup of tea. With milk and sugar of course. In the words of Miss Froy in Hitchcock's "The Lady Vanishes":

"Come sit down. A strong cup of tea fixes everything!"

So, so true...
Anyways, this will be a potluck, so feel free to bring a brunch dish to share! Oh, and my studio is very small, so I'm thinking of serving tea simultaneously inside my house and in the little picnic area in my backyard.

Directions from BART:

If coming from the South Bay, take the Richmond train to the Downtown Berkeley stop.

If coming from SF, take either the Richmond train to the Downtown Berkeley stop, or take the Pittsburg/Baypoint train and transfer to the Richmond train at 12th St. Oakland City Center.

Once you have somehow reached Downtown, cross Shattuck Ave. heading east and then cross again at Center St. heading north-it's one intersection. The #65 bus stop is half a block north on Shattuck Ave. in front of the Bank of America. Take the #65 Grizzly Peak/Euclid up the hill and get off at the Arcade Rd. stop. Don't take the #65 spruce or you will get desperately lost in the hills. Once you have reached the stop, it is a 5 min walk to my house. However, you must call me once you reach the stop. I will NOT reveal my address on this site :) Oh, and message me for my number.

It's about 1 hour total trip time.

However, if you'd like to ditch the public transit for a faster journey, you can carpool to my place. If you choose to do this, it's about a 20-30 min journey. Go ahead and contribute to global warming! My Volkswagen would be proud. (contact me for directions)

What else...? OH! Let's try to make it back to SF in time for Calvinball! This event starts at 3pm in Dolores Park. Check the Events page for more details.

You realize the start time for this event is a full hour before my normal waking time? I hope I won't be too pooped for the Calvinball game later!

Tea time is a relaxing time. Don't worry, I'm sure you'll be fine :)

I'll figure out what time it is over here and I'll drink a cup of tea in your honour at the same time.

All right, I'll find a way. Count me in. But I reserve the right to be tired.

Hooray for comments on events!

Stupid calendar.

My dates and days were confused. Apologies. I swear I'm not scared of that side of the bridge. I will prove it to you. Just not this Saturday.

Update: bring warmish clothes as we will be tea partying outside, Alice in Wonderland style. However, it shouldn't be that cold. The forecast predicts it to be pretty mild.
