Description:

Nintend0 is a level four EquivalenZ task which presently has no praxes. I have a plan for changing this, but wish to do so on as large a scale as possible. So if you're in MN0, I want your help.

The plan: We're going to get a bunch of people together to play real-world versions of classic video games, in public. Specifically, in the Mall of America.

I'll be there by noon to start meeting people who wish to participate and taking names so everybody can get collaborator credit. You can find me near the top of the escalator down to the aquarium; I'll be the reasonably tall guy with the glasses, goatee, black leather jacket, and some as-yet-undecided form of unusual headgear, carrying at least one paper bag from Kowalski's.

(EDIT: I've got permission from JJason to borrow his surplus Swedish army helmet. I'll be the guy in the black leather jacket and army helmet, which I plan to decorate with the letters SF0 on the back so I'm as recognizable from behind as my blurry visage is from in front.)

At 1:00, when we've all assembled, we're going to go from there in search of a slightly less inconvenient place to play our games. Exactly what we play will depend in part on attendance, but I'm hoping we can get enough for Galaga.

You don't need to bring anything for the task itself; the aforementioned Kowalski's bags will contain all the supplies we need. But a camera would be good; the more documentation happens the better.

But if you do wish to bring props to turn the awesome up on this one, by all means do so!

No, I like being able to have the same tasks as the SF folks, and show off how much cooler we are in Minnesota. (Temperature-wise it's even true!)

And no, Cap'n, I mean to tell you you get to play real live Galaga, provided you're willing to buy a plane ticket.

We are actually doing better than that. Four people not signed up already have said in PM that they're coming, and there's seven people I know personally (two of them signed up already) who are all probably coming, plus me, for an expected twelve.

But we can do better than that! Come on, guys!

Yeah, that's pretty awesome. I hadn't noticed.

So, I guess I'll see you all at the mall of the America, then.

Can someone who's attending send me a cell-phone number (if they're cool with that) just in case my natural incompetence overtakes my desire to show up on time and in the right location?
