Events / Great Yarmouth WaterMob

When:

December 20th, 2007 @ 12:00am

Download iCal file for Outlook, etc

Where:

Great Yarmouth, UK
Marina Centre, Great Yarmouth, UK

Activity:

Flash Mob

Enrollment

14/unlimited

Organizer:

Tøm

Description:

Citizens of SF0, the UK has been lacking in flash mobs, and events in general.

We seek to right that misfortune.

Enter, the Great Yarmouth Spontaneous Waterfight! Be prepared to be wet, freezing cold, and amused.

We convene at 12noon approx, in front of the Marina Centre on the seafront. Bring water related weaponry, and wear some form of identification, this could be large novelty shoes, arm rings of duct tape, or waving a large sign. The designated camera-person will make themselves known, and will shout out. You start firing.

You will be ducking to avoid punishing water bazooka's, jets from water blasters, and bobardment from balloons. Use busy christmas shoppers to your advantage, they are collateral damage.

Once all ammo is depleted, we go for pizza.

Like "broke" or like "frugal"?

Yep, I thought it was more widely used than just the UK.

I'm certainly familiar with it despite having only ever spent a few days in the UK, but then, I believe I'm slightly more familiar with British slang - at least the long-established pieces of it - than the average American.

Probably more than me, but then again, I don't know what you consider slang.

Over here these words are in the dictionary.

I'm coming!

Yes, I know it's impractical to come all that way just for a water fight, but I want to meet the GY0 crew!

How I'm going to bring water weaponry on the train is another matter...

You could store it safely in the overhead shelf.

Or brandish it at bored commuters!

Of course, we're now debating whether to meet in the marketplace, or on the seafront.

feedback?

We're thinking seafront, because there'll be refill points.
