Good task Mr. Fish!

Ha! I think that my completion of this task should be something along the lines of "Once a year the developers of sf0 must parade through the streets of San Francisco wearing only their underwear distributing their favorite food item (shaped to express their own trajectory of desire) to strangers." Since it will be implemented if it gets the most votes and it is "not subject to their approval" I think we should abuse their trust. What do you guys think?

This is going to swamp the praxis. What is the deadline for this? The re-set?

Deadline
posted by Charlie Fish on August 16th, 2007 3:35 PM

When I created the task, I suggested that the most popular idea would be implemented subject to the approval of the administrators. They changed it around! They might regret that... :)

Clarification: deadline is the next score reset.

EvilBear, if you're going to abuse trust. . .

. . . why not go BIG!

I think sf0.org would be improved if the SF0 developers each granted power of attorney to Loki, agreed to distribute 50% of their gross income (as specified on their filed income tax forms) in perpetuity equally amongst all the players who vote for this completion, promise to volunteer as organ donors for any SF0 player in need, approve the task "give the admins a full body tattoo" without changes, and agree to have their bodies tattooed (at their own expense) with the three highest scoring completions of that task at the end of the glasnost era.

It'd be nice to collaborate in a java chat room? Or perhaps just a place to list your aim/yahoo name or skype contact info on your profile.

I don't think you have that yet. Didn't see it anyways.

Why has nobody voted for Ziggy C's player satisfaction score idea? I thought it was a great idea!

It would be neat if there was a postmaster for sf0

I know you guys have our addresses somewhere, so what if there was just a place where i could go drop off something and some money for postage and the mailer would ship it out to someone random. or a random address generator so that you send things not knowing where they go and people get things from who knows who!

Any chance of allowing collaboration on this?

Levitating Potato and I have been discussing the Revolution via AIM ever since he deciphered my secret messages, and together we've come up with some interesting thoughts that aren't directly about the U of A. We're not strictly in agreement, but we'd like to express ourselves together by collaborating on this task.

What say ye, admins?

Admins say, "oh fine, but please bear in mind that plates, schedules, and to-do lists packed enough as it is through the start of Insatiability."

User Page Random Images
posted by Waldo Cheerio on August 11th, 2008 10:10 AM

The random images that appear on a user's page (e.g. http://www.sf0.org/apost/) should be changed in one of two ways:

Simple -- Draw images at random from all tasks you have participated in, regardless of which participant in that task uploaded that image.

Complex -- Allow users to manipulate the set of images that appear randomly on their page by uploading to a media folder as you would to a praxis, so that we may choose what images (perhaps only allowing you to check or uncheck images from submissions under the Simple solution, and not additional uploads?)

My thought stems from the realization the system was not already what would amount to the "Simple" solution, as photos I took, which a collaborator uploaded to a shared praxis, did not appear among my random images on the user page.
