For example: Why did everyone's player photos change to images of The Villain that time?
The Villain (the real one) is a player that had been getting a fair amount of attention because of his immense creativity (he is a talented artist), his in-joke tasking, and above all his excellent character, The Villain, who be-foes us all instead of befriending us and generally causes adorable mischief in the world of SF0.
Last month, another high-flying player of the Glasnost era, Meta tron, confused everybody by impersonating the Villain to complete the Obliteration task. She changed her player photo and her name to the Villain's, and then "uncompleted" a few of his tasks.
This captured people's imagination (once they cottoned on that she wasn't really the Villain), and suddenly everyone who had voted for her task started impersonating the Villain. And then other people started doing it just because everyone else was doing it... and suddenly everyone was the Villain.
Which qualified as an Internet revolt. And it was decided by consensus of the Villain-imitators that we wouldn't change back to our real selves until we had done a good deed in the guise of the Villain, to dilute his Villainry and reclaim SF0 for Good rather than Evil.
We love him really!
