Tasks / New Take On An Old Riddle

This task is retired.

And so the Sphinx asked, "What has 4 legs in the morning, 2 in the afternoon, and 3 at night?" Most people know the answer. Document 3 seperate items or animals, one with 4 legs, one with 2 legs, and one with 3 legs at the appropriate times of day--none of which can be a human being.

Well, it's pretty obvious to me. What has four legs? A TABLE! And two legs? Why a DOG! Three legs? A STOOL! I think the real "new" take on this riddle is the bonus question, "What has one leg at midnight?" And we al...

New Take on an Old Riddle by Metsuki November 1st, 2007 7:23 PM

This task is more me than Metsuki unfortunately, but that was mainly due lack of supplies on both our parts. Metsuki isn't as materialistic or as pack-ratish as I tend to be. However there are bits of him throughout the three pictures.

New Take on an Old Riddle by Saint January 3rd, 2008 10:16 PM

For this task, I chose to go through a day at school and note all the things that could fit this riddle. By the end of the day I had a good list of things, and after a little editing, my answer to the riddle was this: For four legs in the morning, m...

The participants in the Around Alone Race, run once every few years, have 4 legs of sailing left in the morning on the day the race starts. The right triangle in a math problem being completed after school at 3:00 PM has 2 legs. Finally, the glass...

New Take on an Old Riddle by Odette December 20th, 2007 11:28 AM

I set out with the belief that I would somehow become closer to the meaning of life. Looking back at my findings, I'm not sure that I can actually find any meaning in them. Nevertheless, I present my findings: 4 legs - a dog - creative, I know, bu...
