We took a cue from Dok and celebrated by eating...
They were not labeled with the Japanese term, and I do not have pictures... but they were gyoza nonetheless.
OK, so, first, on the birthday of very esteemed friends, it is customary to make a big party. So I brought the mariachis!
And then the birthday friend has to endure bad singing of the traditional birthday song "Las mañanitas" ("The little mornings"), which says:
