I'll look into it.

You could skip the Friday, not everyone's here for the entire thing :)

Got gigs on the 23rd and 24th, so looks like I can only make the 22nd; will probably do a day train like last year.
p.s. I'm gonna be in Dunwich (25miles from GY?) this Sunday morning for a few hours after riding 120miles on my bike. If anyone's gonna be around let me know soon and we can meet up.

Hang on a minute, wasn't it 24-26 before?

Anyway, I'm there from 24th to 27th, whether they're the right dates or not, assuming the now government-run East Anglia railway lets me keep that booking...

If it's 22nd - 24th then I'm out for the whole thing :(

Alas, 24 to 26 does that to me. Unless any of it drifts london-wards I suppose. Alas and alack.

It is the 24th to the 26th, Daryl just FAILS at times, dates, spelling and everything when posting events early in the morning.

Does anyone have anything specific they'd like to complete whilst in a group?

I'd like to get another Urban Picnic done :D

(Ohh, and maybe UKZero can finally have a good game of Calvinball?)

posted by Sombrero Guy on July 6th, 2009 9:17 AM

I'll go with Calvinball, seeing as we failed to get around to it last time.
And an urban picnic sounds good also.

Less than three weeks to go! I can't wait! :D

As much as I'm not going to be there, I'd like to suggest something that was floating around as an idea last time but never went anywhere.

Ultimate Spoons.

Mm Gapton Hall Roundabout picnicking.

Well I'll be picnicking in the San Francisco Botanical Gardens before then with various assembled SFZerians.

Just thought I'd say.

:D

RANT BEGINS

I have an activity for the mighty UKØ to complete en mass.

Find a mysticly powerful spot, all join hands in a circle and try to destroy Layn Lake via telepathy.

Seriously, just check her "completed" tasks and I think you'll agree with my plan of action.

Never has the point been missed so hard.

I would not be surprised to find out she's a sockpuppet specifically designed to piss people off.

Just checking train tickets from manchester to the GY

More than £100 pounds for the round trip!

Cant afford it :-(

What's happening? The list is getting shorter every time I look at it... :(
I feel sorry for all those who've had to drop out. Sometimes I don't fully appreciate how extremely lucky I am that I can get a return for £30...

I reckon if you think you'll still be playing next year, you should call and organise next year's Gathering. That way you're guarenteed to be able to attend.
(And Manchester is quite easy for me to get to...)

Also, Journey To The End Of The Mid Afternoon (Oh yeah, we're not hardcore enough for JTTEOTN) is a confirmed event now.

12:30pm, Saturday July 25th, Lighthouse Café.

The route is nice too...

I'll be getting there at 3pm on Friday, and staying until Sunday morning. I'll be able to check this thread some of the time until then, but if someone could let me know any last minute plans I would be grateful. You can get me on "oh-seven-five-nine-oh, four-three-oh, three-four-oh".

Please don't forget me as I'm doing research into SF0 and I've managed to convince my boss to pay for me to come over for the weekend so I can interview you guys and help with the tasks. I'll be in big trouble if I come back empty-handed!

Thanks,

Neil
