Events / Journey to the End of the Night: Austin
When:March 11th, 2012 @ 7:30pm

Where:
Starts behind the Palmer Events Center
Enrollment
8/unlimited
Organizer:
Sean Mahan
Description:
The city spreads out before you. Rushing from point to point, lit by the slow strobe of fluorescent buses and dark streets. Stumbling into situations for a stranger's signature. Fleeing unknown pursuers, breathing hard, admiring the landscape and the multitude of worlds hidden in it. For one night, drop your relations, your work and leisure activities, and all your usual motives for movement and action, and let yourself be drawn by the attractions of the chase and the encounters you find there.
Journey to the End of the Night comes to Austin, TX on March 10th, 2012. Meet at 7:00pm at the spiral hill next to the pond, behind the Palmer Events Center (roughly Barton Springs Road & S 1st).
Journey to the End of the Night is a free street game of epic proportion, presented amidst the chaos of SXSW. Players will try to make it through a series of checkpoints, while avoiding being caught by chasers. Those who fall will become chasers themselves, rising in undeath to pursue their former friends and allies. No skates, no bikes, no cars, just your feet and good old public transportation.
As ever: bring comfortable shoes and water.
Several Journey organizers will be on a panel at SXSW earlier in the day, so if you have a badge please stop by and ask good questions. If anyone in the land of the breakfast taco would like to help us put this event on, please message Sean on SFZero or email him at sean@paragoogle.com.
Journey has been played by thousands of players around the world since 2006 thanks to the amazing SFZero players who have organized, planned checkpoints, volunteered and chased.

Sorry! It took a while before we decided to actually go ahead with it. Everyone tell your Austin friends to volunteer so we can teach them how to run it themselves!
sorry, i thought i would be able to go but camping is happening instead. wish i could be there, hope it's amazing.
In case you are looking for some ideas for future trophies... this one did remind me of something:
Ty and I can't come to journey, but if you are in the state, and willing to meet us, we could drive down. I'll call you from a 541 number
Hey everyone! We heard that this rainy weather will end tomorrow evening, so we decided to move Journey until then. First ever postponed Journey! First ever Sunday Journey!
Why oh why don't you advertise these things a little earlier?
