Spidere

Description:

The city spreads out before you. Rushing from point to point, lit by the slow strobe of fluorescent buses and dark streets. Stumbling into situations for a stranger's signature. Fleeing unknown pursuers, breathing hard, admiring the landscape and the multitude of worlds hidden in it.

For one night, drop your relations, your work and leisure activities, and all your usual motives for movement and action, and let yourself be drawn by the attractions of the chase and the encounters you find there.

A thrilling pursuit through the nation's capitol. No skates, no bikes, no cars, just your two feet and public transportation. Bring some water, possibly a camera, and comfortable shoes - leave everything else at home.

Hooray for something on my side of North America!

Gosh, I think it's been over five years since I've driven down to DC.

Damn Damn Damn Damn!!!! I miss DC in the spring time. I'm already committed to a trip to North Carolina and then to RVA (which isn't too far from DC...)

Thanks for the compliment on the site, Dax - for that, I'll turn you on to some nerdy cell phone technology stuff this weekend we might all start using for Journey and other real-time events. See you then!

Think of it as part race, part scavenger hunt, part tag.

You try to be the first to get from point A to point B by way of points C through G without being caught. Read some of the Journey to the End of Night Chicago write-ups for more detail.

Booo :(

Sadly, my very empty bank account and the cold I've been fighting mean that I won't be making it down this weekend. Boo :(

I hope everyone has a great, thrilling, super sneaky time!
