Tasks / 21 Dogs On Fire

Spend a few days writing down words, phrases, and sentences you overhear wrong. Or that you think you must have overheard wrong. Examples I've heard recently:
Person 1: "21 dogs on fire!"
Person 2: "I had soup."
My housemate: "Emergency fisting tartar sauce?!"
Ask for clarification. Say something like, "I'm sorry--I didn't mean to overhear you, but I think you just said something about 21 dogs on fire. What did you actually say?"
OR
Spend a few days afterwards saying the things you overheard to see if anyone overhears and thinks they've misheard you. If they ask for clarification, come up with something on the fly.
