I observed this Object Annotation on the Haymarket Monument at Desplaines and Randolph. It disappeared within a day. Am I to understand that it was posted by no one affiliated with SFØ?

For the past month and a half, my office has been enthusiastically following the progress of a mountain in our parking lot, taking bets on when it will melt away. Today I lost that bet spectacularly. The mountain hadn't even shrunk in half. My date f...

This 50+ year-old green fence doesn't get as much recognition as the children's amusement park it encloses. However, it and I have a long history together, as written in the note. I never realized I had so much to say to it 'til this task came along....

Oiy oiy. Another OC Fair task. This is last one my sister and I did at the fair and my favorite results BY FAR. The local public object that was chosen was the inside of the ferris wheel ride. =) Here are images of the ferris wheel: pg"> S...

Object Annotation by Mark Vader October 17th, 2007 8:08 AM

Printer Appreciation Day. "Scrod" is a color laser printer in the research center where I work. It's a darn good printer -- a real workhorse -- but it gets a bad rap because it's so heavily used. People are quick to curse it when it breaks...

Hail Mary http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/mis/306370611.html Automatom and I bussed down to the Nicollet Mall to show the Mary Tyler Moore statue some love and make sure she had a physical version of the craigslist 'missed connections' ad. Th...

The moment I saw this task, I knew what I wanted to annotate. Knowing what I had to annotate, I immediately knew how it must be done. No matter that it would ruin the semi-anonymity and legibility of using the typewriter for all of my photographed wr...

It's easy to be thankful for things that happen to you. Nice, good things. What people need to realize is that the things that don't happen to them are what they should be most thankful for. Be thankful when you don't get mugged. Be thankful every...

Object Annotation by Not Here No More November 22nd, 2007 10:12 PM

Someone was very sick with a cold and, so logically, decided to go out and put post-it notes on various objects around the sunset. As he went, with his trusted camraman and father, Jtony, documented his results. Ok, so I went and stuck post it's on...

I combined this with Document Growth. The university I attend has some artwork on its campus. A couple of the pieces of art are ugly or downright tacky, but there's one that amuses me. I find it comes up in conversation quite a bit, and it is occasio...
