Tasks / Write A Novel (In A Month)
Write a novel in exactly one month. You can do this by participating in National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) in the month of November, or you can do it on your own.
It does not have to be a masterpiece, or even coherent, but does have to be at least 50,000 words (about 175 paperback pages).

I definitely want to see more folks doing this one.
I want to do it, but November is a crap time for me to undertake such a task. So I'm glad it exists here on SFØ, so I can do it any month. So one of these months, I'll try to give it a go.
It doesn't have to be a task for you to do it...
Yep. Doing this. About video games.
Man, I wrote HALF a novel this November... 50,488 words, but the story's only half done! So I haven't finished this task yet.

Does this include so-called graphic novels? If so, do there have to be 50, 000 words of dialogue? Or, since a picture is worth 1000 words (so they say), is it acceptable to have 50 separate panels?

I've been saying I was going to do NaNoWriMo for, oh, I dunno, the past two or three years.
Sadly, my current load at work makes it pretty unlikely that I have the time to do so this year.
But DAMN do I want to.
