Description:
Once upon a time, in an apartment in San Fransisco, lived Simon Taylor; a man in his twenties who lived the same life, day after day.
He had his routine, it was who he was, but he always longed for that bit of adventure he felt he was missing. Until ...
You heard us mention it on Podcast #8, and now, Vena, Ben and Vicki are bringing you the first ever SFZero musical.
Basically:
We need people. Since this is technically a radio musical, it doesn't matter where on the planet you are, as long as you have a decent microphone, you'll be fine.
Characters:
Simon Taylor (The Rookie): protagonist, mid/late twenties from SF, discovers SFZero and takes a journey from n00b to Level 8, with many obstacles on the way
Lincoln: player, befriends ST and guides him through the game, however, he ends up betraying ST
anna one: same as above, minus betraying
GYZero Vicki : same as above
Narrator - British accent that all fairytale narrators have...well...
V - antagonist, belongs to Sinister Scandals International, hell-bent on destroying SFZero, and the little tower too...
Penny Ashton (Penny Ace) - Simon's love interest, same age, also from SF, quite shy
+ Chorus and random cameos
Auditions:
Anyone who wants to be in it, all we want is a recording of you singing (under 5 mins please!), plus your ideal character. Send it to draggles(at)gmail.com, and we'll cast. ALL SONGS MUST BE IN BY THE 16TH!
Your loving directors,
Ben, Vena and Vicki

I'm sure we could find a couple of dialogue-only parts for people who are uncomfortable with singing =P
Plus we need sound effects too!
I'll be in - as much as I'm not gonna be singing, though :P I'll write songs, storyline, do costumes if need be, but no singing!
If my mic is not too awful I could join the chorus line.
I'm so excited that you're doing this! (And I'm so bummed that I can't participate!!!)
The 16th has come and gone... and another movie is on the horizon... sigh.
There is something I can contribute. You'll need music, and I have a guitar, saxophone, didgeridoo and kazoo.
The kazoo in particular would be good for random sound effects, I think.
I just hope my mic is up to it...
Oh Vicki, after the imagine experience you know you shouldn't have sent me and invite.
I really cannae sing.
But you're in tune Adam, that's all that matters!
Hahaaha. If you say so. My mic is bust anyway so I can't Im afraid.
Well, so far, we've received a grand total of one audition. Come on, guys!
Yeah, I may be a little late on the boat for this, but I'm willing to audition if you're still accepting them.
If you can sing, send a thing.
Sound quality doesn't matter. Go to Walgreens and get a 5$ headset.
Heck, I used the dumb little mic on my laptop.
C'mon people.
Do sound files have to be a specific format to be sent as attachments? I'm trying to send an m4a, and my email server won't let me.
Your ISP thinks you're pirating teh MP3s, probably.
Try uploading it to your media section here instead, and then putting a link in the e-mail?
we missed the "16th" mentioned in the event descriptions.
Remedy?
Okay, not really. We hoped that we'd get more responses before the 16th, so basically... we need auditions.
Send, send!
and again the perpetual child within my heart longs to go play in great yarmouth....
I don't think you need to go to Yarmouth to participate...
but I don't have a microphone to send in an audition. I am, however, local. Can I audition in person?
She's in San Francisco.
I think there might be other players in San Francisco. If there are, maybe one of them could let her borrow a mic.
Quotepasted.
great. Send me some contact info by PM (I tried to send one to you, but I think it did not work), so we can make this work. I'm excited to help.
FYI, I've worked in radio for about 3 years, and done radio dramas to boot. In short, I have experience, both with voice acting, singing, and even foley effects.

Any NON-singing parts? I do have a good record of non-singing parts in musicals from primary school. Mr Brownlow in 'Oliver!' was my biggest role...
