Why a Wednesday?
Do we put the beans out in hopes of attracting old men in hats? To ward them off?
And then with the throwing of sardines... I am so confused.
You'll see after the LAØ Old Man in a Hat Day Party.
It's not one of those second-Wednesday-in-March kind of holidays. Old Man In a Hat Day is on March 11th every year, no matter the day of the week.
Technically, you throw the sardines to the east on Old Man In a Hat Eve, so that happens before putting out the can of beans.
But point taken.
Herbie, I guess we did it wrong last year... :/
Old Man In a Hat Day gets better and better as the day goes on. I mean, first you put a can of beans by the back door, right?
The-e-en... you get to throw sardines to the east!!
Then it's a party with friends and games!!!
what could be greater?
i just love Old Man In a Hat Day...
