A Photo Scavenger Hunt of Mythic Proportion

A four part excursion to recover the body of Osirus and thwart the schemes of Set. Teams shall employ the godlike powers of their camera to find and recapture fragments of the lost body. In each part, the teams will strive to outdo each other with feats of capture and exploration of the world...including their own inner world. Culminating in a final judgment that will decide who most pleases Isis and gains the favor of the gods!

• Teams of 4-5
• Only one camera needed per team
• Bring a cable if yours is not mini-usb for some reason
• Digital or film

• Film camera teams would have to do their own processing or pay for their own 1-hour processing. Thus film team start time will be 1 hour ahead: 4:00PM. YOU MUST notify organizers if you are a film team! "Surprise" film teams who show up without warning will be welcome to play, but unable to compete.

Staff/volunteers needed: 4 field agents, 1-2 additional in house staff, 1 field staff.

Our base venue is going to be at 1121 Jackson Street NE, suite 135. And we are grateful to GPS for cosponsoring this event!

Note: This game is not a MN0PQ puzzle quest, nor a Journey-like endurance contest.

Wow, and Egyptian-mythology themed photo-scavenger hunt? Encouraging film-cameras? Was this game made for me, personally? I'm living in the wrong city.

Dang it. I'm designing a very similar game. I'll have to make mine very different now.

Really? Or are you just horsin' around because it's funny?

Because maybe we can exchange ideas. My rules are pretty much set (no pun intended) but I'm open to interpretations. Or, if you'd like, you can hold off on your design until after ours—when we're done I'd be happy to release the rules for public replication elsewhere. I think it's a pretty solid game.

I'm totally serious. I was going to release my game onto the world last winter, but my life got too busy. But it is very very similar. I didn't have a mythical theme to mine, which I now regret. You tend to think things through better than I do. Mine felt more like an 80's college movie or an episode of Jackass. But no real theme.

And I'd be happy to exchange rules any time you want. They wouldn't help you out any, but they might help me out.

This is totally awesome and now I suddenly wonder if I can make myself arrangements for a last-minute bus trip of even greater length than my last last-minute bus trip of great length.

This should happen.

I'm currently working on assembling my crack team, Ocean's 11 style, but I think a spot in the organization could be found for you if you made your way back to MN.

Staff needed

We have a couple staff volunteers now, but could use two more as house/field agents.

We definitely need four people interested in being Minions of Set (run around in Logan park for special mayhem).
Early house/field staff would be 4pm (because film teams start earlier than digital teams).

The Part One/Two transition needs two field staff people. They would need to be active from 5pm-630pm (film people would be arriving at the check in no later than 515pm, digital will be arriving no later than 615pm).

The Part Three field staff person would be active from 630-730pm, checking people in and handing them instructions for part 3.

The Minions of Set staff (4) are needed to be active for about 2 hours from 630-830.

Part Four is run back at the facility so we'll all be gathering there, not later than 830.
If you know people who are interested, let me know!
