Organizer:

Description:

Come out March 17th to participate in a blind-photography street game that has been played around the world.

We will meet up at 2pm at the Nelson Hancock Gallery in Brooklyn, split into small groups, and head out to complete a series of photographic assignments while blindfolded. The goal is to take pictures by using intuition, instinct and your other senses, while interacting with the city in a new way.

Please RSVP if you're interested in attending. We'll also be having a similar event in San Francisco soon.

Share your images at the Nelson Hancock Gallery immediately after photographing and be included in an exhibit in conjunction with the book Seeing Beyond Sight at 111 Minna Gallery in San Francisco on May 17.

Directions:
Take the F-train to York Street stop or the A/C-train to High Street/Brooklyn Bridge. Walk down toward the bridges and East River until you encounter Front Street. Turn left, if you are coming down from Jay Street (F); make a right, if you are approaching from Washington Street (A/C).

Weather-related Update:
At least on the news, the East Coast is freakin' out about this snow! But we'll still be taking pictures tomorrow - a snowed-in city is beautiful, and quiet. The precipitation, in whatever form, is supposed to have stopped by tomorrow morning. It will be chilly, though, so wear a scarf!
