Well I don't live in San Fran but I can't see the harm in turning my lights off for an hour.
Does everyone have to document this?, and if so, how in depth do we need to go?
Well... this is horribly less fun than throwing rocks at skyscraper windows, but...
I suppose I could do both.
I'm in.
I'm a sucker for Epic Collaborations...
It's odd that it is actually bigger than just a web thing. Heard two people in Budgens in Norwich station talking about it and also I saw this poster in a phone box on Castle Meadow in Norwich. I will be documenting my darkness in 18 minutes.

all lights off here except the room mum and tony are in
Earth haters
Turned all my lights off, videoed it too for the praxis.
The prodigal camera has returned.
I've got my lights off, but I have some other ideas for the task. So I'm doing it, but not being part of the task.
I am impressed by my street!

The view out of my window is pitch black, it's usually orange.
I took this with 6 second exposure.
That was jolly uneventful. Lights back on now.

Most of mine are still off, and I am unimpressed with my street. Although most of them are hotels...
I had to use a flash as the problem with having a long exposure is that there's no point letting light in for longer, if there is no light in the first place, and btw my street done nothing, it was just pretty much me. I tried making a cup of tea (and nearly burnt myself) and it was horrible, i don't think i put enough milk in in :P

I just used my laptop on battery power and listened to a CD.
I watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory...
My room, all candleyfyed:

(still getting used to my new camera)
Not many other people nearby really took part as far as I could see. My mum and sister turned the dining room light on *argh* so I went and had a candlelit bath =P!

My player photo is now me trying to read a book (and failing), it wasn't light in there at all, it's where I HAD to use a flash on my camera, as I explained earlier, what little street light i had unfortunately, still meant I couldn't see a thing it said. So I gave up and listened to music on my mp3 player instead,
Okay, so we're going to do this epic collaboration?
I didn't actually intend for that, but it sounds cool.
Everyone take pictures of yours (and neighbors) darkened houses, and I'll add everyone as collaborators.

I knew anna one would be the first to attend :D
Also: As you can see, the activity is "aGSLTBaLLLP"
This event and the task are just to sort of get people aware of light pollution and wasted energy. :)
