I signed up for the following ingredients. Its hard to get a lot of things in India and I have numerous dietary restrictions so I thought I'd reserve what I can eat and get in advance! :)
Chex Mix:
1/2 cup mixed nuts
Chips & Salsa:
1 jalepeno
Pigs in Blanket:
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
Soup:
1 cup diced carrot
Sandwich:
1-4 slices tomato
pizza:
½ cup red onion
Dessert
1/4 cup chopped nuts
I'd go for
1) tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2) juice of half a lemon
3) 1/2 cup sour cream
4) 1/5 cup dressing (vinaigrette?)
5) 2 (12 fluid ounce) cans or bottles brown beer
6) 1 green pimiento olive with toothpick
7) One large pizza dough
8) 1 tablespoon sprinkles
Should someone be eating with no china and just a lot of spoons? While someone else wears only socks?
Will someone bat cleanup, and eat a giant casserole with all the leftover ingredients mixed together?
I'm going for:
1) 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
2) 1/4 bunch of cilantro
3) sesame seeds
4) ¼ cup candied walnuts
5) 2 cloves of garlic
6) Two slices of bread
7) ½ cup sausage
8) 1 banana sliced lengthwise
This sounds fantastic, but I have a family obligation at the precise time this is happening. I would totally have eaten the mayonnaise, too. :(
• 1/2 cup bite-size pretzels
• 1 avocado, peeled and diced
• 1/2 cup mayonnaise
• 1/2 apple
• 2 sprigs fresh rosemary, chopped
• black pepper
• ½ cup diced bell peppers
• 1/4 cup chocolate syrup
Anyone who's still in SF0 want to meet up together?
I would.
Norway is nice at this time of year. A gentle chill on the hillsides. A ray of sun around noon.
Oh, I read that as SF0, not SFO.
Does one have to be in the Northern Kingdoms for this, or can I participate from down here in the Southern Kingdoms?
Will we be eating each course separately, or is mixing together our ingredients into one recombinant dish encouraged?
I think separately is the only way to do this with integrity, in courses. What do y'all think?
1) 1 1/2 cups Corn Chex® cereal (Because we certainly can't have chex mix without Chex!)
2) half a cucumber, peeled and diced
3) 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
4) 1 grilled chicken breast cubed
5) 1 1/2 cups onions
6) 1-2 leaves lettuce
7) ½ cup pineapple
8) whipped cream
I edited to add strikethroughs to make remaining ingredients easier to see.
I am signing up, but if anyone really wants one of the things i grab, I'll negotiate anything but the ice cream!
Chex Mix:
1 1/2 cups Rice Chex® cereal
Chips & Salsa:
3 large diced tomatoes
Pigs in Blanket:
1 (8-ounce) can original crescent dough
Salad:
1 large bowl of leaves (e.g. arugula, spinach, spring greens, romaine, iceberg, etc.)
Soup:
2 cups beef broth
Sandwich:
2-5 slices deli meat
pizza:
1 can tomato sauce
Dessert
3 scoops ice cream
Hello!
Is it okay if I eat some sweetcorn as that's what cornchips are made of?
Okay, I'm committing to these:
1.) Chex Mix: • 3/4 teaspoon seasoned salt
2.) Chips and Salsa: • 1 pepper of choice
3.) Pigs in a Blanket with tangy dipping sauce: • 1 egg, lightly beaten
4.) Salad: • lemon to taste
5.) Soup: • 1 cup diced celery root (celeriac)
6.) Sandwich: • 1-3 slices cheese
7.) Pizza: • ½ cup artichoke hearts
8.) Sundae/Banana Split: • ¼ cup caramel
(Bex: Thank you for doing the strikethroughs! It really, really helped!)
Sign up everyone!
I'm going to do this even if I'm still in the hospital! (Thanks to my mom!)
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoin minced garlic
20 cocktail franks
1/5 onion
5 tablespoons canola oil
mayo
parmesan cheese to taste
1/4 cup chocolate syrup
I was tempted to go for the 2 pounds of brisket, but I *know* I wouldn't manage a single other ingredient if I did.
I think i would be okay if you weren't able to eat of all it in one sitting. Two pounds is a lot.
1. 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
2. 1 diced medium sized onion
3. 1 tablespoon whole-grain mustard
4. pepper to taste
5. 1 tablespoon malt vinegar
6. mustard
7. 1/2 cup black olives
8. 3 marichino cherries
I'm confused how to find the google + hangout! Help!
I think I got confused with time zones. o_o
Are you guys still eating?
If you missed the hangout, never fear!
Just document eating your courses one at a time, in order - though out of chrononautic phase with the rest of us (for a dash of extra postmodernism)!
If you need to be added to the task, contact Supine!
I plan to post things tomorrow night! :)
Done. Video links sent to supine, with a request to add me.
Ok, I missed the hangout - but, I will bat cleanup and will be eating:
1) 1/2 cup garlic bagel chips
2) 1 tsp salt
3) large grain sea salt
4) salt to taste
5) salt to taste
6) pickles
7) 1/2 cup mushrooms
8) oreo cookies, crumbled
Sorry to be late to the party, but I shall document an interesting salt fest ASAP.
but I am actually still working on the eating part, because that was too much salt for one sitting
First of all, this should be a formal get together. Formal wear and fine china and crystal.
Second, it should be a many course party meal.
We can sign up for ingredients from the top of the ingredient list down (since the most essential ingredients are at the top of the list) unless you cannot eat the particular ingredient mentioned (e.g. gluten, meat, cheese) or if you’re really really not willing to be the sorry bastard who gets the mayo, salt, or other sauce.
I’m willing to take up the horrible ingredients as long as I get “ice cream, 3 scoops!” ☺
