Description:
Let's get the global SF0 community together for a giant group completion of I'm Looking For!!!
Step 1:
Invent a Person. Define what they look like and what they dress. Draw or find a picture online of them. Post your drawing/rendering/photomanipulation/sculpture/representation of them and relevant data/bio on them on the comments.
This part is DUE BY SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 2013
That gives you two whole months, so make it good if you can. If you submit before, you get gold stars. If you submit after, you might be SOL.
Step 2:
We will all study up on each others' people and the go into the city and find the people of someone else's invention. (Feel free to Spread SF0 as you do so). Document them and how you found them in the group task write-up next to the description of the person.
This part is DUE BY SUNDAY, APRIL 28, 2013
Have fun! Go wild! Enjoy!

What are we looking for in terms of data/bio? The task just says to invent how they look and dress, but I can invent more. Give me requirements!
Post your drawing/rendering/photomanipulation/sculpture/representation of them and relevant data/bio on them on the comments.
maybe you want to add infos before i start looking for her...
I could never remember her name, but let's call her Saffron. Hair dirty blonde, or maybe brown? She'd be in her late twenties now, probably doing freelance writing or maybe curating an art collection somewhere. Her favorite color is blue.
Also note that there is a pending group completion of this task -- Death Cube and Idontity, if you want in on that so we're all in one place, I think you have to un-submit your completions (and abandon them?) and then one of us who's already on it should be able to invite you as collaborators. Right now it blocks the invite because you're no longer eligible. Or you can keep your individual completions and we can have links going in between everything and it'll all work out in the end. Optimism!
It says "already doing that task" when I try to add you.
Find me and be my friend.
My name is… never mind, it’s too hard to pronounce for you Americans anyway.
Dance with me, i’m a clumsy ballerina and i don’t care.
Sing with me my voice is certain to charm you.
Let’s take our instruments and play in the street, in the restaurant while waiting for the waiter or at the corner store for the bored clerk.
We will sing again for our friends in the kitchen tonight.
And we’ll draw something nice for them, with their name in big shinny letters. I might draw a li’l something for you too
Find me and be my friend,
it’s easy, i give everyone a chance.
Here are a few things about me (so you don’t confuse me with some random hippy, i’d rather be refer to as rocker anyway):
I’m young, too young to drink but i already worked in a strip club .
I’ve been in at least 5 different countries.
I sing this better than that girl.
I have a leather jacket, i like it.
All in all, i’m pretty bad ass…
Find me and be my friend.
Death Cube's is here. Waiting for Idøntity to repost his but I think he looks like this:
Oh bollocks, we were supposed to post them here?
Yikes lost my text. Let's see if I remember some of it. Rambling about star trek, Patrick Stewart, Dr Phil, google search random person... Oh yeah:
Bob lives in his mom's basement. He has a kind soul and his friendly smile somewhat hides the fact that there is no prize in his CrackerJack Box. He is fond of horizontal stripes and is reported to have come into a large sum of money recently. He has been missing since a trip to the bank to cash his check. There are numerous internet sightings and the best lead to follow may be that he has a brother that he identifies as Bubba. If you spot him, please be kind. You might check Walmart.
I should probably pay attention to things more often.
Here's the guy.
Details are the same as before
Male
Caucasian
16-27 years old
Sportsy
Favorite color is green
Dresses for the weather (outfit varies on whatever the sky looks like that day)
Brown hair
Average weight - not too skinny, not too chubby
*Optional: He is actually secretly a female ninja-turtle.
Am I missing something or does this leave me, Deathcube and rahan looking for each other's peeps?
I'm a little behind! I'll post someone to search for soon!
But I'll search for your peeps in the meantime!
I moved and got off for a while and now its too late! Can I join in too?
Yes! Join! I haven't submitted my stuff either because things have come up, but as far as i'm concerned, submit your people and begin looking for all the other people submitted!
One week left! I'm planning to do all my person-hunting next Saturday during the 4Z Wander, so it's not too late to submit your people and have me look for them!
I found Death Cube's guy! Twice! But I don't want to submit the proof yet because supposedly people are still working on it...
yes, i haven't even submitted a person, because i'm having drive problems, so yes, extensions all around. Except for Sam Archer, because he is EEEEEEEEvil. ;)
I think you meant to type "uniquely able to accomplish simple tasks in the exceedingly generous time allotted" but your fingers slipped.
(The keys are like right next to each other.)
So I've successfully completed one person worth of proof. Should I submit the proof and let you slowpokes add to it and/or resubmit it later? Or are we waiting for a quorum so we'll be able to submit one glorious group completion together at some indefinite future point?
I also haven't submitted my person because I am having a drive/time/other projects/life/planning issues.
I'll have my person up soon(ish).
Let's wait for a quorum to post. I also nominate Sam Archer the new leader of this project.
As the new leader of this project, I declare that everyone who's still on board needs to pull an extra shift and get the next thing done.
If you haven't made a person yet, carve an hour out of your normally scheduled Facebook time, draw a person, and make up something about them. It doesn't have to be a good drawing. If a stick figure is all you can manage, draw a stick figure. Post your results.
If you've already made a person, carve another hour out of your normally scheduled Facebook time, look at other people's persons, and walk around looking for them. You don't have to succeed, but do be mindful of the task and your progress (or lack thereof); documentation of failure is often more valuable to science than that of success. Post your results.
I declare the deadline to be May 28th, the day after Memorial Day. That's three weekends between now and then, one of which is a three-day. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to find a couple of hours somewhere in all that time to do this fun thing that you want to do.
Break!
All right, I'm submitting it, being as it's a month after the original deadline and we have collectively managed the meager task of finding at least a person, so the task has technically been completed, if not quite to the scale that we might have hoped. Everyone who touched the proof at some point is still on it as a collaborator; everyone else has been booted due to inactivity.
I of course encourage those people who are still on the proof as collaborators to update it with the fruits of their labor as they become available. If you got booted but suddenly feel like getting on board, message me with your contribution and I'll add both it and you -- or submit your own proof and I'll add a link to it from the group one.
I signed everyone who said they wanted to attend (and who weren't already signed up) to be on the group completion. Sub mit your people here AND in the write-up. We will all be the search party for each others' people!
So:
1.) Make your people
2.) Put 'em here and in the write-up
3.) Study other peoples' people
4.) Go a-lookin'!
