Description:

That should read "Reaching Absolute Ø", but the encoding fails.

Players relet and lyx will be on a journey from Sutro Tower all the way North until they finally disappear as a tiny speck on the horizon.

They want to meet you all, task with you, have a chat and coffee, crash on your couch[1] and otherwise experience the freedom that is hard-coded into your common protocol.

Here's a very rough travel schedule.[2]

They don't exactly have a clue where you all live, or they would contact you individually. If you'd like to meet, collaborate, create havoc or try magick, just join the event and post a comment - especially if you live somewhere north of Sutro tower.

Tasks planned: (these lists will be updated on the fly. Just say what you'd like to do!)

  • Wild Streets / SFØ - Scheduling - Discussion

  • Pilgrim's Progress - This will be a pilgrimage for at least three distinct reasons.

  • ...
Tasks suggested:
  • SFØ Skill Share

  • The High Score Task - This has to be on any to-do list.

  • Tourist Infiltration / We Are The Tour - collaborating tourists will be provided.

  • ...

[1] any offers of couch or floor space very appreciated. Both because they travel on a budget, and because they want to get to know you. So far they have a space to stay in PDØ and Seattle and Vancouver. You people are awesome! They do bring camping mattresses, sleeping bags and are generally low-maintenance.
[2] For temporal reference: There's the week before Burning Man in SFØ, for those who plan to head in that direction anyway. They won't be able to join you in Black Rock City though.

I provide vouching for these two being at least as awesome in real life as their digital presence here in SF0!

I *might* be able to come for a weekend. It depends on many external factors. Like plane tickets. But this is rather once in a life time and I won't miss it without a fight.

Where else would you be? We will eventually be heading up the whole way from SF to Seattle by car. There will definitely be tasking in Portland, too, and we have time to stop anywhere on the way.
In other words, this will of course be a once in a lifetime chance, but we could give you a lift back.
(Once in a lifetime. Wow. Consider us flattered, or maybe consider Lincøln flattered if you were referring to him.)

I'm definitely up for some tasking during our temporospatial intersection. Not sure if I'll have crash space as I will probably be in the middle of a remodel at that point. :(

I will be really looking forward to meeting you. I agree it's always advisable to invite fellow sfzerians into turning your remodeling work into a praxis.
(But thanks for considering anyway!)

Excellent!

I will likely be able to offer crash space in Seattle, and I might even have replaced the existing spare bed with something better by then.

...better for sleeping on, that is, not some random thing which I decide is better than a spare bed, like maybe a dovecote so that I can raise pigeons in my apartment.

Wow! Thanks you so much for the offer! We shall gladly accept, whatever the replacement will be.

Your disclaimer does make it sound like praxis... hmm.. you could certainly, easily win us over by making that replacement an x10 praxis.

I should be able to provide backup crash space in PD0, and would be delighted to task with folks -- I should be recovered from my con crud from PAX by then.

Thank you all all all for your couch offers! We're really looking forward to task with you! Do shoot me a message if you have any preferred tasks, or we need to prepare anything. We're very collaborative! ;)

As much as I'd liked to do this, my "commanding officer" probably wouldn't approve. Why not? Let me make a dramatization:

Me: Hey mom, can I have some guys over?
Mom: Who are they?
Me: They're two guys from the internet who I've never actually met or had a real conversation with.
Mom: NOPE.

Also fear/respect.

I sorta wish I owned my own house, cause then I could provide crash space.

Prepare your engines*! This is going to happen!
I will try to stay in touch with all of you, and send you my coordinates by pm - but absolutely do send me a message if you know something good is going to happen. I should read my email at least before changing locations and while in the big cities.

*I assume those of intergalactic task-o-bots, but feel free to improvise.
